GBSI Conducts The Largest Air Tightness Tests In The GCC

GBSI has been engaged to test the building envelope, which includes the façade, windows, doors, vents and any openings, of large and small buildings in the UAE. Recently Mr. Whistler and his crew completed the largest airtightness tests to date in the GCC:

402,000 Cubic Meters: 37 story Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Abu Dhabi, UAE; tested to the Estidama Building Envelope Verification requirement of 3.64 Liters /second/m2 @75 Pascal of pressure

GBSI is the most experienced building envelope airtightness testing company based in the UAE and has conducted the largest GCC Regional Whole Building Air Tightness (WBAT) testing  to determine whether building is leaking air. Mr. Whistler has pointed out that buildings that leak air conditioned air are “try to cool all outdoors” and wasting massive amounts of energy.  He went on to emphasize, “whether you are letting your air conditioned cooled air out or hot, moist desert air in, either way you have an energy loss and sustainability problem that needs to be addressed.
